Test Tube Baby Treatment: How And Why It Is Essential?

Thanks to advances in medical science, millions of couples can now experience the joy of parenthood. With the introduction of assisted reproductive techniques in the medical field, infertile couples can have their biological child.

If you are having trouble conceiving, you can opt for a test tube baby treatment, also known as in vitro fertilization or IVF.

This successful technique began in 1978 with the birth of the world's first test tube baby, Louise Joy Brown, in England.

This happened with the help of assisted reproductive technique [ART], also known as in vitro fertilization or test tube baby.

What is a test tube baby?

Test tube baby treatment is a simplified term for in vitro fertility treatment. A test tube baby is a child conceived outside the body of a woman. These babies are conceived in the laboratory through the scientific process of in vitro fertilization.

In this process, a woman's egg is treated with a man's sperm in the laboratory until it becomes an embryo. The embryo enters the uterus through the vagina, and when one of the embryos remains attached to the wall of the uterus, a Fertility successful pregnancy can be achieved with the "test tube baby treatment."

Step by step process

The test tube baby treatment is a step-by-step procedure to make your baby biological.

Step 1: egg production with hormone therapy

Before the process, a woman receives an injection of certain hormones for the growth of follicles within the ovary. After these hormones are injected, the eggs reach maturity.

Step 2: eggs received from the ovary

The eggs are then removed from the ovary. Using a vaginal ultrasound probe, the eggs are collected and transported to the laboratory.

Step 3: semen sample

On the same day that the female's eggs are collected, a new sample from the male is required for the process to continue.

Step 4: combine the egg and sperm

Then, in the next step, the eggs and sperm are mixed in a Petri dish and kept in an incubator for a few days.
