Couples who learn that they are infertile often experience distressing emotions. Typical reactions include; shock, grief, depression, anger, frustration and loss of self-esteem. - The feeling of guilt and shame
- Jealousy or anger
- Loss of self-esteem
You need to identify these emotions to find the right support. Your spouse can be your greatest support system. But sometimes the built-up pressure you both feel can make it difficult to sort your emotions together. Therefore, to cope with your emotional distress, you can also seek outside help. It could be your family, friends, or advisers.
