You are not alone, is not only a phrase since 186 million people are affected by infertility worldwide. The issue of infertility can hit anyone, irrespective of where they are located.
Infertility is the disease of the reproductive system defined by the inability to achieve a clinical pregnancy after 12 or more months of unprotected intercourse. The causes of infertility in women may include; not ovulating, fallopian tube blockage, or poor egg quality.
However, the causes of infertility in men include; low sperm count, poor sperm mobility, and sperms that aren’t formed correctly.
However, the issue of infertility goes well beyond its definition for those going through the challenges of building their family. Your struggle through infertility can be frustrating and isolating.
This is why it’s important to raise awareness around infertility. Every year we welcome Infertility Awareness Week from 18 to 24 April 2021. Infertility Awareness Week 2021 aims to dispel the common misconception about infertility.
